My view on libraries of the future or what I invision is:
For those that can purchase their own technology, computers, laptops, etc, I think local councils or govt or together, should provide broadband free to every household for professional,educational and or personal use. (Hmm maybe I should be running for election?!)
For those that dont have their own computers, laptops and or live in small shared accomodaton the local library will become more of a public lounge room, with access to internet, computers, plus information available from books, newspapers, magazines, a more sociable learning and living environment, staff to guide users in their chosen direction be it books or online information.
